HTGrunderfonds Bonn The High-Tech Gründerfonds GmbH invests venture capital in start-up technology enterprises, whose core is a research and development project. These particular start-ups should lead their R&D projects based on a "seed investment", up to a prototype designation, “proof of concept” or roll out. For this purpose, the fund currently manages just under 270 million €, to be funded by the KfW Banking Group and a number of industrial enterprises (BASF, Siemens, Deutsche Telekom, Bosch, Daimler, Zeiss). Among other things, applicants must prove in a multistage process that products, methods or scientific/technological services will lead to sustainable market opportunities. In addition, an enterprise management must be shown that possess both technological and business management skills. The inclusion of a so-called "Coach" from the network of the High-Tech Gründerfonds is expected for selection process introduction and accompaniment of the first phases of the business activity.
